Day 12/12 to a New You! 2014 Yay!

Happy New Year guys and dolls! 2013 has been really good to me. Stay tuned for my year in a video! This year has been filled with some ups and some downs but I think I’ve really become a stronger person because of it. This was the year that a lot of life changes happened and I honestly think it’s going to be one where I look back and say wow 2013 was a good year. I am thankful for so many things I can’t wait to see what 2014 has in store!

Thank you for following along with me on my 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 and 12 day journey to a new me/you. No intake and outake post today because it is the final day! Celebrate! I just got home from my cabin and  tried on a nice little number which fits better than it did before. I also feel amazing inside and out! I promise you a week and a half of exercise and healthy eating is the best way to kick-start your metabolism. I recommend either maintaining what you did for the past week and half or re-asses your meal and workout plans!

Congrats! Here is a happy recipe for you to try a nice little way to celebrate all your accomplishments over the past year. If you feel like you haven’t met some of your previous goals celebrate anyway because here is to another year of trying to make it happen!

Day 11/12 to a New You!

This is it guys! One more day! I feel great, these past few days has been a breeze, nothing like a little motivation to start your year off right. I’m actually spending some quality time with the family. They were in Hawaii for Christmas so this is our catch up time. We are having a HUGE bash at the cabin, literally neighbors neighbors were invited and we are all here umm for lack of a better word boozing it up and playing board games. Hope your New Year’s Eve is filled with family, friends and fun!

In:
Breakfast: Eggs and 1/2 bagel w/ Damon

Out:
Skiing & playing in the snow!
Okay I did some crunches too, we also did a group 1 min. plank in the living area.

Day 9&10/12 to a New You!

Almost there guys! I normally don’t like the whole New Years Resolution thing because we should constantly aim to be a better person than we were the day before and NOT wait a whole year haha but I’ve been feeling really good about this upcoming New Year I hope you have been too!

Day 9
In
Breakfast: Fried egg (coconut oil) tomatoes & green peppers 1/2 orange
Lunch: Banana almond protein shake
Dinner: Beef, rice, yellow potatoes & honey glazed carrots (decided to have white instead of wheat but opt for wheat more times than not!)

Breakfast: Hardboiled egg/ strawberries with granola cereal
Lunch: no lunch :( I was bad!
Dinner: Cream of chicken soup with veggies!

Resting your muscles and body is a must when working hard. Your muscles need time to prepare, while you’re preparing get mentally prepared as well!

Day 8/12 to a New You!

I can’t believe a week has gone by already!

IN
Breakfast: Applesauce with cinnamon orange slices, mint tea and honey biscuit
Lunch: Egg, pepper, salsa veggie cheese salad
Dinner: Stuffing *ugh guilty I love this stuff* brown rice

Kettlework! This class was crazy hard! Doesn’t help that it was at like 5:30 this morning I was so tired and I didn’t even wake up until it was over!

Feeling unmotivated? Not sure when or where to start? Start small and on your terms! Do some crunches, a few jumping jacks here and there, you don’t have to belong to a gym to workout, some of the best workouts are done with no equipment. If you are a shy person try getting some dumbbells at Walmart and doing some workout videos on YouTube. Below are a few of my faves!

Day 7/12 to a new You!

Over half way there guys! I can’t believe the New Year is just around the corner. It’s been a stressful couple of weeks but the big guy upstairs never gives you more than you can handle. I’ve been really into motivational quotes lately and thankfully Pinterest feeds my sad little addiction. I found the perfect quote today which was exactly what I needed, my mind tends to wonder and this happened to fit my mood today.

“The moment you start to wonder if you deserve better…. you do”.

A new year starts in less than a week! It’s time to make some choices, how are you going to start the new year?

Day 5&6/12 to a New You!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you are surrounded by people who love you and truly care about you and your well being. That is really what the spirit of Christmas is about and it is one of the best presents you could possibly give/receive is to love and be loved.

Yesterday I did a two hour Zumbathon and ate mostly veggies all day with a bit of protein. My stomach is finally starting to feel better!

Today is Christmas so the gym is closed otherwise I’m sure I would be there haha. What’s going in today is ham and pie! I’ve been good so I’m indulging!

Day 4/12 to a new you!

Well another Monday has come and gone… thankfully I managed to make it through the day without freezing to death. Also a big shout out to Rhonda for having heated seats and my moms random gifts of fuzzy socks never go unappreciated. Donn’t judge me but I’m totally obsessed with  Miley’s latest album Bangerz, it’ s perfect for a warm up, workout and cool down! Or just to listen to after a… well :/ yeah, here’s to a new year. Once again you may ask if I’m twelve… nope. Speaking of being 12 thinking about wearing my dinosaur sweatshirt to work tomorrow… thoughts on this…

Also in my lazyness I was able to throw this together. I know I’ve been slacking on the ootd posts. I woke up late and missed my 5:30am workout luckily on Monday’s the same class starts again at 6:15 pm.

Day 3/12 to a New You!

Today has been a lovely Sunday went to Church, looked at kitties and I’m going to see Anchor man 2 with a friend later tonight I might even do some laundry!

Day 2/12 to a New You!

Here is to day two of 12 days to a new you! On Saturday’s I like to give it my all so I did both cardio and strength! Ugh I ate horrible today as in not a healthy proportion at all. I’ve been really stressed lately and some stuff happened last night that really just kinda put the icing on the cake so I don’t recommend eating this little.
